Park Commissioners approve summer program fee increases

Plainville Park Commissioners approve summer recreation fee increases. The board unanimously approved increases to Summer Recreation childcare fees, with full-week rates rising $20 to $280, full-day rising $5 to $75, and half-day rising $5 to $45, plus the Community In Training program increasing $25 per week to $150. The commissioners also unanimously approved swim lesson fee increases of $5 (Preschool and Level 1 to $80; Levels 2 through 6 to $85) and a family pool membership increase of $25 to $325, with daily rates unchanged.
The board approved a Cub Scout rocket day at Field of Dreams on May 24, and learned that the Park Department will request $90,000 in additional Community Preservation Act funding for bathrooms and a snack shack at Field of Dreams.
