Park Commission Supports Field of Dreams Phase 2 Expansion

PLAINVILLE — Park Commission supports Field of Dreams Phase 2 expansion approved by Planning Board on March 2. The Planning Board voted 5-0 to advance the redesigned project, which will include permanent bathrooms with potential snack shack, expanded parking, improved drainage, and an 11-by-11 soccer field after removing two small baseball fields that were originally planned. Roy Blakely, Christopher Faille, and Jason M Morneau unanimously approved field maintenance contracts with Greenhaven Turf and Dellek Lawn Care, portable restroom rentals from R.W.
Liston & Sons, and infield work from STS for the Babe Ruth diamond. The Commission also approved six community events for spring and summer 2026 and committed three donations to the For Kids' Sake Foundation event.
