Plainville Select Board Unanimously Appoints Conrad-Garrity to School Committee Interim Seat
PLAINVILLE — July 21, 2026 — Plainville Select Board unanimously appoints former School Committee vice chair Kristen Conrad-Garrity to an interim seat, effective through April 5, 2027. Conrad-Garrity, a Plainville resident of 18 years and a 27-year public school educator currently working as a multi-tiered system of support instructional coach across seven schools, was the only candidate to submit an availability card for the vacancy. Board members praised her background before the vote, with one recalling standing with her "in a snowstorm in 2018" during her first successful campaign. When asked by a board member whether she would seek election to the seat in April 2027, Conrad-Garrity said she was "not planning to run again in April." She was sworn in at the July 21 meeting.
