Chair William Mackie cast the sole opposing vote in the 4-1 decision to grant a variance allowing the pre-existing nonconforming lot in the RA district to be subdivided for a single-family home with horse operations. The board imposed conditions requiring a deed restriction limiting the lot to one home and requiring the horse paddock to meet setbacks applicable to district structures.
