Storage facility approved with stormwater management waivers

Board of Health · Meeting of March 11, 2026

Plainville Board of Health approves storage facility with stormwater waivers. The Board unanimously voted to approve an 8,450-square-foot storage/maintenance building at 76 Taunton Street, including waivers from Chapter 680 stormwater regulations allowing 3:1 side slopes instead of the required 4:1. The project, proposed by 157 South Street, LLC, includes infiltration ponds for stormwater management and will require a 6-foot perimeter fence.

The Board also unanimously approved a variance for body art practitioner Aubrie Goonan based on her 300 hours of training and credentials, despite not meeting the standard two-year experience requirement. ===END BRIEF===
