Select Board approves $380K in special education fund transfers

PLAINVILLE — The Plainville Select Board approves combined $380K in special education fund transfers. The board unanimously approved three transfers totaling $380,234.83 to address rising out-of-district tuition and transportation costs, per Superintendent Jen Parson's presentation; the transfers covered $103,523.83 from reserves and $200,000 from the Supplemental Education Fund. The board also unanimously approved the May 18 Annual Town Meeting warrant spanning two nights, featuring budget votes, capital projects, zoning changes, and a citizen petition to expand the board to five members.
