Planning Board approves final earth removal at Washington Street

PLAINVILLE — The Plainville Planning Board voted unanimously to close a public hearing and approve a final earth-removal special permit for 128 Washington Street and 0 Everett Skinner Road, with engineer Paul Brodmerkle presenting phase V excavation plans that the Board of Health had cleared. The board also endorsed ANR subdivision plans for 87 School Street and 11 Old Taunton Street. In related business, the board unanimously recommended that the Select Board advance a road-layout alteration plan for Messenger Street and Taunton Street widening to Town Meeting; existing driveways will not be closed.
Rosa Herrero presented updates on the Town Center Design Guidelines project; the board requested removal of the term "Urban" from the guidelines.
