Council on Aging discusses budget; Watkinson resigns

Plainville Council on Aging approves previous meeting minutes, hears budget report. Director Christine Higgins presented the 2026-27 budget request of $248,095.69 in operational costs. The Plainville Cultural Council awarded the senior center a $990 grant for three guided television tours and three virtual classes on food and dress culture.
Secretary Brenda Watkinson resigned at the close of the meeting; Member Deborah Coleman volunteered to become the new secretary.
