Committee plans May volunteer events, approves supply spending

PLAINVILLE — Keep Plainville Beautiful Committee approves spending for headstone cleaning, coordinates spring events. The committee, led by Chair Lou LeBlanc, approved spending of $50 to support a May 24th headstone cleaning workshop sponsored by the Historical Commission at the town-owned cemetery on West Bacon Street. The committee is coordinating volunteer participation in a highway cleanup on May 15th sponsored by For Kids Sake Foundation, managing four sections of exit ramps off Interstate 495 near Route 1.

The committee will also donate approximately 1,700 cups to the For Kids Sake Race and is planning a fall plant sale on September 26th, with proceeds funding daffodil bulbs for resident distribution.
