Board of Assessors approves motor vehicle and property tax documents

PLAINVILLE — Board of Assessors approves over $1.48 million in tax documents. Chair Patricia Stewart, Vice-Chairperson Trish Bergevine, and Secretary Shannon Mackenzie unanimously approved motor vehicle excise tax abatements totaling $965.24, real estate abatements of $25,724.11, personal property abatements of $3,860.00, and exemptions of $2,000.00. The board also unanimously accepted the 2026 Motor Vehicle Excise Commitment Number 1 for $1,435,480.50 and 2025 Motor Vehicle Excise Commitment Number 7 for $9,062.86 before adjourning to executive session to discuss confidential abatement and exemption matters.
