Plainville Board of Health approves phase five gravel removal with expanded detention basin. Chairman Lou LeBlanc, Vice Chair DJ Fairbanks, and Member Bob Davis unanimously approved an Environmental Health Impact Report for 128 Washington Street, expanding the temporary detention basin 2.5 times to manage stormwater from ongoing excavation of 40,000 to 50,000 yards of gravel. The board also unanimously waived a $50 mobile food permit fee for John's Dream Ice Cream, a nonprofit directing all revenue to organizations serving individuals with epilepsy and developmental disabilities, and submitted FY27 budgets of $207,546 for Board of Health operations and $1,021,210.76 for the Trash Enterprise Account to the town finance committee.
